[25 Nov] India NMCE Rubber Futures Trading Value Hits Record INR1.07 Bln

Trading of rubber futures at the National Multi-Commodity Exchange, India's third largest commodity bourse, hit a record high value of INR1.07 billion ($23 million) Monday due to increased participation, its managing director said Tuesday.
"We see exponential growth in the coming days as we are trying to attract more and more participants from major growing regions," Kailash Gupta, told Dow Jones Newswires.
NMCE has the highest share in rubber futures trade among the three national level commodity exchanges in India.
The total volume of rubber futures traded Monday was 8,738 lots of one metric ton each, and open interest in all contracts was 4,871 tons.
