[25 Dec] Rains May Decrease for Rest of This Week

The north-east monsoon is likely to stay weak for the rest of this week, bringing down the volume of rains, the Thai Meteorological Department said Thursday.
Analysts and traders said a decline in rainfall this month has given growers more opportunities to produce rubber from trees unlike November, when output was severely affected by floods.
In a weather forecast for seven days to Dec. 30, the department said the high pressure system will weaken and increase temperature in upper parts of Thailand.
However, it said another system of high pressure may cover Thailand during the Dec. 27-30 period.
