Malaysia's natural rubber stocks at the end of October totaled 145,582 metric tons, up 3.3% on year, Malaysia's Department of Statistics said Wednesday.
Natural rubber production in October rose 17% on year to 77,620 tons. On month, output was up 0.5%. The natural rubber output estimate for September was unchanged at 77,203 tons.
Natural rubber exports in October rose 27% on year to 82,181 tons, while imports rose 85% to 74,557 tons.
Imports are likely up due to higher demand for latex among rubber glove manufacturers.
Domestic consumption of natural rubber in October rose 15% on year to 41,365 tons.
