On Tuesday (14 December 2010), the spot rubber prices rose and the market moved up since the gap between the domestic and international rates widened mainly following the spurt in Bangkok spot prices. Sheet rubber increased to Rs 200 from Rs 199.50 per kg.
The December futures for RSS 4 declined to Rs 200.50 (201.23), January to Rs 203.97 (205.26), February to Rs 207.15 (208.31) and March to Rs 210.40 (211.12) per kg on the National Multi Commodity Exchange.
Spot rates were (Rs/kg): RSS-4: 200 (199.50); RSS-5: 191 (189.50); ungraded: 187 (186); ISNR 20: 193 (191.50) and latex 60 per cent: 128 (128).
