India: Natural rubber prices down to Rs 236 on weak global cues

New Delhi, Apr 19 (PTI) Natural Rubber prices today fell by Rs 3 to Rs 236 per kg in the domestic spot markets, due to weak global cues.

The prices of natural rubber yearterday were ruling at Rs 239 per kg in the domestic markets, according to the Rubber Board.

"Natural rubber prices today fell due to fall in rates in global physical and future markets that also affected the markets both spot and futures back home," Indian Rubber Dealers Federation President George Valy told PTI.

The rate of natural rubber in the international physical market at Bangkok today fell by Rs 4.68 to Rs 257.26 per kg, compared to Rs 261.94 per kg yesterday, Rubber Board data said.

Similarly, TOCOM, rubber futures prices for May delivery were ruling at 435.1 yen per kg (Rs 234.85/kg), down 4.4 yen (Rs 2.37/kg) from their last trading price.

Likewise, at NMCE, rubber future prices for May delivery were ruling at Rs 23,755 per quintal, down Rs 264 from their last trading price.
