The benchmark Tokyo rubber futures rose to a record high on Thursday (February 17) on the back of supply concerns and higher oil prices.
The key Tokyo Commodity Exchange rubber contract for July delivery rose as high as 523.7 yen per kg as of 0011 GMT, up 12.5 yen or 2.4 percent from Wednesday's (February 16) settlement of 511.2 yen.
