Spot rubber rules steady

Spot rubber prices finished steady on Saturday. The session was comparatively inactive and calm as the trend setting international markets were closed on weekend holidays. A

According to sources, the market lost its direction on buyer resistance but the prices are expected to firm up further on Monday tracking the global gains. The volumes were low.

Sheet rubber closed flat at Rs 235 a kg according to traders. The grade was unchanged at Rs 234 a kg as per Rubber Board.

Futures firm

RSS 4 improved at its February series to Rs 239.21 (237.90), March to Rs 245.29 (243.73), April to Rs 253.24 (252.33) and May to Rs 259.52 (258.53) a kg on the National Multi Commodity Exchange (NMCE).

Spot rates were (Rs/kg): RSS-4: 235 (235); RSS-5: 225 (225); ungraded: 220 (220); ISNR 20: 226 (226) and latex 60 per cent 155 (155).
