KOTTAYAM, MAY 14:
Spot rubber continued to rule unchanged on Saturday.
The weekend session was rather inactive and cool as there were no active buyers or sellers on either side to set a definite direction. According to traders, sheet rubber closed flat at R. 228 a kg amidst scattered transactions. The transactions were in a low key.
FUTURES WEAK
In futures, the May series weakened to Rs 227.01 (228.50), June to Rs 230.49 (232.30), July to Rs 233.60 (235.16), August to Rs 230 (231.38) and September to Rs 226.98 (227.50) while the October series improved marginally to Rs 224.80 (223.68) a kg for RSS 4 on the National Multi Commodity Exchange (NMCE).
SPOT RATES
Spot rates were (Rs/kg): RSS-4: 228 (228); RSS-5: 226 (226); ungraded: 224 (224); ISNR 20: 219 (219) and Latex 60 per cent: 136 (136).
